Mounting of high-performance electrostatic precipitator at Ekibastuz GRES-1 in Kazakhstan is nearing completion, company Kazakhmys said.
"The electrostatic precipitator will come into operation by late 2012," the report says.
About $2 billion tenge (150.86 tenge = 1 dollar) is planned to be spent for purchase and installation of the facility.
Two previous electrostatic precipitators were installed at the power units No.5 and No.6 in 2010 and in 2011, respectively. Another electrostatic precipitator was launched together with the restored power unit No.8.
"A program on the installation of electrostatic precipitator at Ekibastuz GRES-1 is planned to be completed next year," the report says.
