Kazakhstan has extracted 113.7 million tons of coal in 2020, which is 1.6 percent less than in 2019, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
The report said that the volume of coal extracted in December 2020 stood at 11.4 million tons, which in turn is 2.2 percent more than in Dec. 2019.
Furthermore, crude oil extraction including gas condensate was 85.6 million tons during the reporting year, which is 5.4 percent less as compared to the volume extracted in 2019. Kazakhstan’s December oil output was 7.1 million tons, which also is 11.2 percent less than during the same month of 2019.
Kazakhstan has also extracted 55.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas in 2020 and 4.6 billion cubic meters in December, which is 2.3 and 9.4 percent less year-on-year.
Fuel oil manufacturing volume stood at 2.2 million tons and 260,200 tons in 2020 and Dec. 2020 respectively, which is 22 percent less and 11.1 percent more than during the same period of 2019.
Kerosene manufacturing amounted to 440,500 tons in 2020 (down by 30.1 percent) and 44,200 tons in Dec. 2020 (8.3 percent), whereas gasoil (diesel fuel) manufacturing equaled 4.6 million tons in 2020 (down by 7 percent) and 388,600 tons in Dec. 2020 (0.2 percent less).
Hydrocarbon liquefied gases output was 1.2 million tons in 2020 with an annual increase of 1.7 percent, whereas December output was 109.3 million tons (down by 9.4 percent annual).
Electricity generation in 2020 equaled 109.1 billion kWh, which is 2.5 percent more than in 2019, whereas the volume of electricity generated in Dec. 2020 amounted to 11.6 billion kWh, which is 9.2 percent more year-on-year.
The volume of thermal energy generated in 2020 amounted to 84.6 million Gcal with an annual increase of 0.2 percent, whereas December 2020 output was 12.6 million Gcal, which is 6.4 percent more than in Dec. 2019.
