Iran's oil/gas company sees rise in crude oil output

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 15. Iran’s Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company’s crude oil production reached 580,000 barrels per day in the first 6 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2023), the CEO of the company Gholam Reza Kamali said, Trend reports.

Meanwhile, in the past years, Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company produced an average of 560,000 barrels of crude oil per day.

The CEO noted that the company plans to boost its crude oil output even more in the second half of the year (from September 23, 2023 through March 19, 2024).

Kamali added that Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company operates in 4 provinces of Iran: Khuzestan, Fars, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmed and Bushehr.

He added that the company extracts hydrocarbons from 16 oil and gas fields and has 857 oil and gas wells on its land. The oil and gas from the wells are transported by pipelines that span 7,500 km in total.

Iran's Gachsaran Oil & Gas Production Company (GOGPC) is a subsidiary of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) and is involved in oil production, refining, and transportation, as well as natural gas and gas condensate production. The company has 12 onshore and offshore oil and gas fields. The company can produce up to 652,000 barrels of crude oil per day.

Currently, the company produces 950 million cubic feet (about 26.9 million cubic meters) of gas from its fields. Of this amount, 800 million cubic feet (about 22.6 million cubic meters) are delivered to the Bid-Boland Gas Refining Company’s plant, while 150 million cubic feet (about 4.24 million cubic meters) of gas are pumped into oil wells.
