BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 15. More than 4 million tons of Turkmen and Kazakh oil were transported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline from January through September 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan shows that 18.5 percent of pipeline oil volume was transferred during the reporting period.
Additionally, the amount of oil transiting through the BTC pipeline from these countries totaled 3.82 million tons from January to September 2023, accounting for 16.9 percent of the total oil transported via the pipeline during the reporting period.
To note, 5.24 million tons of oil from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan were transported through BTC in 2023.
