BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 16. Azerbaijan produced oil products worth 3.9 billion manat ($2.2 billion) from January through September 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Statistic Committee (SCS) showed that 1.07 million tons of motor gasoline were produced at the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery in Baku in the first nine months of this year, which is 0.9 percent less than in the same period of 2023.
Production of jet fuel increased by 12 percent to 492,900 tons.
Diesel fuel output at refineries from January through September 2024 totaled 1.753 million tons, up 1.1 percent from the same period in 2023.
The output of lubricating oils recorded a growth of 10.3 percent, reaching 49,400 tons from January through September.
Furthermore, the growth was also recorded for oil bitumen - 211,900 tons (an increase of 7.1 percent) for January- September 2024.
The output of fuel oil increased by 5.2 times and amounted to 26,900 tons for 9 months (compared to the same period).
A decrease of 10.8 percent was recorded for petroleum coke (decrease in demand) - 157,000 tons.
To note, Azerbaijan produced 2.31 million tons of diesel fuel (12.3 percent growth), 1.464 million tons of motor gasoline (+13.4 percent), 594,400 tons of jet fuel (+4.1 percent), 231,600 tons of petroleum coke (+10 percent), 59,100 tons of lubricating oils (+31.6 percent) in 2023.
