Trade union committee was established at Azfen Joint Venture, the Republic Trade Union Committee of Oil and Gas Industry Employees (RTUCOGE) told Trend.
The constituent conference was held at the Azerbaijani Trade Union Confederation with participation of Sattar Mehbaliyev, the head of the Confederation, Ismayil Mammadov, the Secretary General of Azfen, and his deputy Allahshukur Gurbanov, Jahangir Aliyev, the head of the Committee, and Mirvari Gahramanly, the head of the Committee on defense of oil workers
rights.
The conference approved the composition of the committee of 19 people. 11 of them became members of the presidium of the committee. Besides, the participants of the event approved the composition of the control-inspection commission of 5 people.
Said Mammadov was elected the chairman of the newly-established committee by open voting. Similar bodies are also planned to be established at other enterprises, RTUCOGE noted.
It should be mentioned that similar bodies were established at McDermott, Bosshelf and PCH Offshore in 2005. Till this time trade union committees existed at Shirvan Oil, Salyan Oil, Azgerneft, Anshad Petrol, Lukoil Azerbaijan.
