BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 14. Baku
International Sea Trade Port (BISTP) in Azerbaijan, along with a
branch of the German company "MT Container GmbH," has thrown its
hat in the ring by joining the German-Azerbaijani Chamber of
Commerce (AHK Azerbaijan), the organization told Trend.
"Collectively, we can foster innovation, enhance collaborations,
and provide new avenues for growth," the organization said in a
statement.
Noteworthy that Germany has demonstrated a strong commitment to
leveraging the potential of the Trans-Caspian International
Transport Route (TITR), with BISTP serving as a pivotal component
in this strategic initiative.
The German city of Duisburg is the final destination of the
Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) in Europe, and
the newly opened largest container terminal on the continent,
launched in September, boosts the cargo capacity of the route.
"MT Container GmbH," a major global supplier of maritime
containers, collaborates with BISTP.
In December 2016, the members of the Coordinating Committee for
the Development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport
Route—Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia—resolved to form the
International Association "Trans-Caspian International Transport
Route" (TITR). The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route
originates in Southeast Asia and China, traverses Kazakhstan, the
Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and extends to European
nations.
The TITR has seen particularly active growth in the last two
years due to new geopolitical realities.
