BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, November 10. Kyrgyzstan imported 3,312 passenger cars from Georgia from January through August 2024, which is 4.1 times more than 797 cars in the same period of 2023, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the value of the imports reached $41.357 million, which is 2.9 times more than $14.135 million in January – August 2023.
Overall, Kyrgyzstan imported 91,481 passenger cars from January through August 2024, which is a 3.9 percent increase from 88,020 vehicles in the same period of 2023. The total value of these imports amounted to $1.293 billion, which is a 6.2 percent decrease compared to $1.378 billion in the previous year.
Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover amounted to $10.6 billion from January through August 2024, which is a 9 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023. Exports rose by 13.1 percent year-on-year, totaling $2.1 billion. Meanwhile, imports increased by 8.1 percent to $8.5 billion.
