BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, March 25. Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Zhaparov has allocated 4.5 billion soms ($51.9 million) for road projects in Bishkek, Trend reports via the president’s administration.

Zhaparov issued the directive during a meeting with Bishkek Mayor Aibek Junushaliev. Moreover, the president allocated 100 million soms ($1.1 million) for the development of a waste sorting system.

In the course of the discussions, the president noted positive trends in the capital and approved the Bishkek City Hall's two-year action plan. He also issued several instructions aimed at further developing the city.

The president emphasized the need to accelerate the improvement of waterfront areas along the city's rivers and canals, stressing the importance of creating comfortable recreational spaces for Bishkek's residents.

Furthermore, Zhaparov highlighted the necessity of completing the construction of an eco-technological plant for processing solid household waste by 2025.

Meanwhile, Aibek Junushaliyev stated that the total budget for Bishkek's transport modernization in 2025 is set at 8.2 billion soms ($94.5 million).
