Tajikistan reveals number of ongoing ITFC projects

DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, September 18. The International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC) is currently implementing three projects in Tajikistan, totaling $18 million, Trend reports.

This was announced during a meeting between Zavqi Zavqizoda, Minister of Economic Development and Trade, and the Islamic Development Bank’s (IDB) authorized representative for Tajikistan, Nazeem Noordali, Chief Operating Officer of ITFC, who had arrived in Tajikistan on a working visit.

It was noted that ITFC has executed investment projects in Tajikistan amounting to $182 million.

During the meeting, the sides discussed enhancing Tajikistan's export potential, establishing textile enterprises, and developing halal product manufacturing.

Additionally, the parties addressed the construction of hydropower and solar energy plants, logistics centers, and the development of trade, tourism, and the banking system.

ITFC is a member of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group. Established in January 2008, its primary goal is to promote trade among member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), aiming to improve socio-economic conditions for people worldwide.
