DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, February 22. The value of aquaculture production in Tajikistan amounted to 137.2 million somoni ($1.5 million) in 2024, Trend reports.
Data obtained by Trend from the country’s statistical agency shows that this represents a 3.3 percent increase compared to 2023.
It was also reported that the total fish catch across the country reached 5,460 tons in 2024.
The value of agricultural production in Tajikistan reached 73 billion somoni ($6.6 billion) in 2024, increasing by 10.6 percent compared to 2023.
Tajikistan's crop production reached a value of 50.984 billion somoni ($4.6 billion) in 2024, which is a 13.4 percent increase compared to 2023. Meanwhile, livestock production amounted to 22.991 billion somoni ($2.1 billion), which is a 4.8 percent increase compared to the previous year.
