ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 10. The 'Lebapbalyk' enterprise of Turkmenistan supplied more than 300 tons of fish to the country's markets from January through June this year, Trend reports.

According to an official source, these products delivered during the specified period were estimated at a total cost of about 950,000 Turkmen manat ($272,000), which is significantly higher than in the same period last year.

The enterprise is currently engaged in fishing in the Dyeboyun reservoirs in the Darganata district and the '15th Anniversary of Independence' in the Kerki district of the Lebap region of Turkmenistan.

At the same time, the company currently uses modern boats and other equipment manufactured in Japan, China, and Russia.

Meanwhile, the development of Turkmenistan's food sector, including the fish segment, is a key focus of the national economic growth strategy.

The government has been actively investing in the modernization of fishing enterprises in recent years, improving the infrastructure for fishing and processing fish, as well as introducing modern technologies to improve product quality.
