TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 1. Uzbekistan's Uzenergoengineering JSC and Chinese Electric Power Planning and Engineering Institute (EPPEI) agreed to establish a joint venture in the field of planning, engineering and consulting in the electric power industry, Trend reports.
One of the main activities of the venture will be developing short and long term plans for Uzbekistan's power sector, taking into account current conditions such as the integration of large renewable energy solutions (RES) capacities. Modern, internationally recognized methods and practices, such as the use of computing systems Plexos, DigSILENT, will be used to develop effective and well-founded plans for Uzbekistan's power sector.
The venture will also conduct engineering studies such as pre-project technical and economic studies, development of project concepts, basic and detailed design, expert review and adaptation of project documentation, etc., using international approaches and standards.
Consultancy in the electric power industry, including technical consultancy on design, construction and operation of electric power facilities, project management consultancy, engineering consultancy on application of new technologies in the electric power industry will also be one of the main activities of the joint venture.
In addition, the venture will also provide training and retraining of personnel, including development and implementation of programs for training and retraining of personnel in the electric power industry, holding seminars, trainings and other activities to improve the qualifications of specialists, including international experts.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan and Chinese CSG company discussed matters related to the implementation of promising cooperation projects.
Particular attention was paid to the implementation of modern design and engineering systems, high standards for ensuring energy security and loss reduction in power grids with the participation of the Chinese company.
