BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 20. The series of repairs at Iran's Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company has prevented a decline in production by 30,000 barrels per day, the executive director of Iran's Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company, Gholam Reza Kamali said, Trend reports.
He stated that the equipment used by the company to produce
crude oil at the Gachsaran field needed to be repaired. Despite
high expectations, the repair took only one day to complete.
In spite of the country's harsh sanctions, Kamali said, the
company's experts repaired pipelines on the ground.
Iran's Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company is affiliated with the National Company of Southern Petroleum Zones. Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company operates in the fields of crude oil production, refining, transportation, natural gas, and gas condensate production. This company has the potential to produce 652,000 barrels of crude oil per day. The company's fields produce 950 million cubic feet (about 26.9 million cubic meters) of gas daily. About 800 million cubic feet (about 22.6 million cubic meters) of produced gas is injected into the Bid-Boland Gas Processing Company plant and 150 million cubic feet (about 4.24 million cubic meters) of gas is injected into oil wells.
To note, regarding Iran's nuclear program, the United States levied more sanctions on the country in November 2018. More than 700 financial institutions, businesses, and individuals in Iran have been sanctioned within the last several years due to the country's oil exports.
