BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 4. About 64.8 million tons of oil and non-oil products were loaded and unloaded in Hormozgan province located in southern Iran during seven months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through October 21, 2024), Director General of İran's Ports and Maritime Administration of Hormozgan Province, Hossein Abbasnejad told reporters, Trend reports.
He claims that over the course of seven months, the ports of the Hormozgan region loaded and unloaded 44.2 million tons of non-oil products and roughly 20.6 million tons of oil products.
Abbasnejad stated that the province's ports handled the export of 29.7 million tons of products during the specified period. The Shahid Rajaee port exported 25.7 million tons of these products.
“6.2 million tons of crude oil and oil products were exported through the ports of Hormozgan province during the six months,” he noted.
To note, Iran's Hormozgan Province has 118 ports. Of them, 44 ports are multi-purpose, 31 are fishing ports, 13 are commercial ports, 13 are entertainment and recreational ports, 11 are oil ports, three are passenger ports, and three are industrial ports.
