BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 3. A total of 17.6 million tons of products worth $7.33 billion were exported from the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone in Bushehr province in southern Iran during eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 2024), the Director General of Customs Administration of Pars Special Economic Energy Zone Jafar Vanda said, Trend reports.
According to him, 570,000 tons of products worth $838 million were transported from the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone over eight months.
Vanda pointed out that 3,570 tons of products worth $12.8 million were imported to the country via the economic zone during the eight months.
Meanwhile, Iran's exports of non-oil products amounted to about 104 million tons worth about $38.2 billion during eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 2024). Iran's exports of non-oil products increased by 18 percent in value and 14.6 percent in weight compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through November 21, 2023).
To note, Iran's imports of non-oil products amounted to 24.5 million tons worth $45.1 billion during eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20, 2024). Over the eight months, Iran's imports of non-oil products increased by 6.9 percent in value and decreased by 1.73 percent in weight compared to last year (from March 21 through November 21, 2023).
