Iran exported over 256,000 tons of non-oil goods to the EU during the first two months of the current fiscal year, started March 20, 88 percent more year-on-year.

The data released by Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI)‎ indicates that the Islamic Republic has exported $215 million worth of various commodities to the EU in the period, 40 percent more year-on-year.

Iran’s non-oil exports to various economic regions, based on the TPOI data:

Iran’s imports from the EU in the same span of time accounted to $1,315 million, registering a fall by 12 percent compared to the same period of the 2107.

Meanwhile the volume of the Islamic Republic’s imports from the EU amounted to 948,000 tons, 30 percent less year-on-year.

The EU was the top goods exporter to Iran in the first two months of the current fiscal year, in terms of value, followed by OIC, GCC and ECO.

Iran’s imports from the CIS registered the highest growth among the reported regions in the 2-month period and stood at $349 million.
