The total exports of defense products from Turkey abroad grew by 34.2 percent in the first quarter of 2021, compared to 1Q2020, making up over $647.3 million, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend on Apr.2.
According to the ministry, in March 2021, Turkey exported $248 million worth defense products to international markets, which is 47.6 percent more compared to the same month of 2020.
Over the past 12 months (from March 2020 through March 2021), Turkey exported defense products worth over $2.4 billion abroad, added the ministry.
