Türkiye counts passenger turnover at its Diyarbakir Airport

BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 14. The total turnover of passengers at Türkiye’s Diyarbakir Airport in December 2024 rose by five percent compared to the same month of 2023, reaching 2.15 million passengers.

The data obtained by Trend from the country’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure shows that last December, the turnover on domestic flights increased by four percent year-on-year and amounted to 1.98 million people, and on international flights - by 27 percent to 169,420 people.

Meanwhile, the airport's cargo traffic was 20,659 tons, a growth of 11 percent compared to December 2023.

Furthermore, in December 2024, the airport's cargo traffic on domestic flights rose eight percent year-on-year to 17,215 tons, and cargo traffic on international flights hiked by 28 percent to 3,443 tons.

The total number of flights from the airport last December hasn't risen compared to the same month in 2023, equaling 13,150.

Meanwhile, the number of flights performed for domestic flights decreased by one percent to 11,979, and for international flights, it grew by 19 percent to 1,171.

The passenger traffic in all airports in Türkiye in December last year amounted to 220.98 million people, and cargo turnover was 4.9 million tons.

To note, passenger traffic at all airports in Türkiye in 2023 was 117.9 million people, and cargo traffic was 2.4 million tons.
