ASTANA, Kazakhstan, March 11. At Kazakhstan’s Astana IT University, interdisciplinary projects related to artificial intelligence are being implemented, underlined professor of the university, Beibit Abdikenov, at a Government meeting, Trend reports.
In accordance with Abdikhenov, several interdisciplinary
projects are being implemented at Astana IT University, one of
which is focused on the development of artificial intelligence
technology for the diagnosis and prediction of breast cancer.
“The project is being implemented as part of the targeted program
financing for 2024-2026. By the end of the year, we plan to launch
pilot projects at oncology dispensaries,” said Beibit
Abdikenov.
Additionally, he mentioned that a project for a bionic
exoprosthesis for the forearm with automatic muscle signal
recognition is under development. Currently, the first prototype of
the exoprosthesis has been created.
He also pointed out that, the project is also being implemented as
part of the targeted program financing for 2024-2026. The final
product development is expected to be completed by 2026, with
clinical trials set to begin.
Today, Kazakhstan holds a Government meeting in Astana. The agenda includes the development and digitalization of science.
