ASTANA, Kazakhstan, March 13. Fuel reserves at coal deadlocks in Kazakhstan amount to approximately 442,400 tons of coal of various grades, said the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan, Trend reports.
In the words of the ministry, the heating season for 2024-2025 in the country is proceeding smoothly and is nearing a successful conclusion. Coal supplies to the municipal and household sector and the population are proceeding as planned.
"Directed by the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with local executive authorities, Kazakhstan Railways, and coal mining enterprises, daily meetings of the headquarters are held to ensure coal supply to the population and municipal and household sectors. Monitoring is conducted on coal loading for regions, the availability of coal reserves at railway deadlocks and warehouses, the number of dispatched and expected wagons in transit, and solving any issues related to coal mining and transportation to consumers," the Ministry underscored.
Based on the ministry's statement, monitoring of coal prices in the regions is also being conducted. The cost of coal has remained at the level of the previous heating season.
"The supply of coal to the regions is under special control of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the Ministry concluded.
On the specified date, March 12, 2025, around 7.84 million tons of coal have been supplied to Kazakhstan. The annual plan in the country has been fulfilled by 99.7 percent.
