ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 8. Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Board of "Samruk-Kazyna," held a meeting with Nguyen Thanh Hung, Chairman of Vietnam's Sovico Group, to discuss the Qazaq Air transaction, Trend reports.
According to Samruk-Kazyna's press service, the process of transferring Qazaq Air into a competitive market is close to completion.
"All the conditions outlined in the transaction documents have been fulfilled by Samruk-Kazyna, and the completion of these conditions by the Vietnamese investor and their local partner is expected," the statement from Samruk-Kazyna reads.
In December 2024, the Fund disclosed the execution of a share
acquisition agreement pertaining to Qazaq Air JSC, facilitated by a
consortium of strategic investors.
The transaction is anticipated to substantially augment the
valuation of Qazaq Air’s portfolio and fortify its competitive
stance as the preeminent carrier in the Central Asian aviation
sector.
