BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 29. The aggregate quantum of interest income generated from securities by banking institutions in Azerbaijan reached 132.5 million manat ($78.2 million) in the inaugural quarter of the fiscal year.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan illustrates
an increment in this figure's elevation by 25.6 million manat
($15.1 million), representing a 24 percent increase relative to the
corresponding timeframe of the previous year (106.9 million manat,
or $63.1 million).
In the first quarter of 2025, the financial institutions reported a
revenue stream of 46.9 million manat ($27.7 million) in January,
followed by a subsequent yield of 43 million manat ($25.4 million)
in February, and a marginally reduced return of 42.6 million manat
($25.1 million) in March, all derived from interest accrued on
securities transactions.
