ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 14. The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan has summarized the results of the major oil refineries' performance for the first four months of 2025, Trend reports via Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Energy.
According to the information, from January through April, the country's large oil refineries processed 6.092 million tons of oil, which is 10.8 percent more compared to the same period in 2024.
“The increase in refining volumes was the key factor behind the growth in the production of major types of petroleum products, in demand both in domestic and foreign markets,” the statement reads.
In particular, there was a 25.4 percent increase in the production of automotive gasoline, reaching 2.082 million tons; an 18.9 percent rise in diesel fuel production, to 1.921 million tons; and a 5.3 percent increase in the production of aviation kerosene, to 0.255 million tons.
The Ministry of Energy will continue implementing strategic measures aimed at ensuring the stable operation of the oil refining sector, providing a sustainable supply of petroleum products to the domestic market, and enhancing the efficiency and technological development of sector enterprises.
