ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 29. The Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of Rwanda will cooperate in the field of ICT (information and communication technologies) and space systems, Trend reports.
During an official visit to Kazakhstan and participation in the Astana International Forum, the President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, visited the National Space Center (NSC) of Kazakhstan.
In the course of the visit, the Minister of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan, Zhaslan Madiev, acquainted the delegation with the activities of the Kazakh space industry, key projects in the field of Earth remote sensing, satellite communications, and the development of space technologies.
"Special attention was given to the possibilities of cooperation between the National Space Center (NSC) and the Rwanda Space Agency to apply advanced solutions in the field of geoinformation services, monitoring, and environmental analysis," the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan said.
Earlier, within the framework of the official visit to Akorda, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology and Innovation of the Republic of Rwanda on cooperation in the field of information and communication technologies.
