ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, June 24. Representatives of the Wholesale Distribution Center of the Mangystau Region of Kazakhstan held negotiations in Ashgabat on organizing seasonal supplies of Turkmen fruits and vegetables to the Kazakh city of Aktau, Trend reports.
The discussions centered around leveraging the center's
logistical framework, capable of accommodating up to 40,000 tons of
inventory, to optimize trade facilitation.
In the course of strategic discussions with prominent Turkmen
entities engaged in the agronomic sector, encompassing the
cultivation, processing, and exportation of agricultural
commodities, the Kazakh delegation expressed a keen interest in the
procurement of a diverse array of produce, including Malus
domestica, Pyrus, Phoenix dactylifera, Prunus armeniaca, Vitis
vinifera, Solanum lycopersicum, and Allium cepa. The collaboration
is anticipated to capitalize on the temporal and operational
efficiencies inherent to the Mangystau Region, strategically
positioned adjacent to the Balkan Velayat border of
Turkmenistan.
Kazakh delegates conducted an exploratory visit to Turkmenistan’s
state-of-the-art greenhouse facilities, which are dedicated to the
cultivation of tropical horticulture, prominently featuring banana
production.
