ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 22. Kazakhstan is actively digitalizing its mining sector as part of broader efforts to improve efficiency and transparency in the extractive industries, Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry Zhaslan Madiyev said during a government meeting, Trend reports.
According to Madiyev, citizens and organizations were provided access to 15 types of government services in the mining sector over the reporting year, with 14 of them available online. A total of 979 million services were delivered, of which 919 million—or 87.6 percent—were provided electronically.
The most frequently requested digital services included licenses for mining and chemical industry operations (462 issued), documents for customs processing within the Eurasian Economic Union (437 issued), and the issuance or re-registration of geological and mining allotments (55 issued). The minister emphasized that digitalization efforts are helping streamline administrative procedures, reduce bureaucracy, and improve user accessibility across the industry.
