TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, August 25. In January-July 2025, Uzbekistan produced a total of 212,156 passenger vehicles of various models, excluding special passenger cars, Trend reports, citing data from the National Statistics Committee.
By brand, production volumes were as follows: Cobalt - 83,167 units, Damas - 51,587, Tracker - 26,385, Onix - 18,734, KIA - 14,419, BYD - 8,601, Chery - 4,838, and Haval - 4,425. In addition, 28,951 special passenger vehicles were manufactured.
Compared to the same period in 2024, total car production in Uzbekistan showed a notable increase, with especially strong growth in the assembly of foreign brands such as KIA, BYD, Chery, and Haval, reflecting the ongoing diversification of the domestic automotive market. At the same time, traditional locally produced models such as Cobalt and Damas continued to dominate output, although their share is gradually being balanced by new entrants.
The figures highlight Uzbekistan’s efforts to expand its automotive industry through foreign partnerships and technological modernization, positioning the country as a growing hub for vehicle manufacturing in Central Asia.
