BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 16. Azerbaijan has imported 74,481 vehicles from January through August 2025, with the total cost of these imports reaching $1.38 billion.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee indicates that this marks a rise of $270.4 million, or 24.3 percent in value, and a 26.4 percent rise in volume, equivalent to 15,542 additional units, compared to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, vehicles designed to carry ten or more people, including drivers, accounted for $43.2 million with a total of 478 units during this period. Passenger cars and other motor vehicles primarily intended for transporting people totaled 68,295 units, valued at $1.24 billion.
