ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 7. As many as 655 new medical facilities will be built in Kazakhstan this year, providing access to primary healthcare for around one million rural residents, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov said at a government meeting, Trend reports.
Addressing the meeting, the Prime Minister underlined the importance of improving medical infrastructure outside major cities.
“The opening of new medical facilities significantly expands access to healthcare, especially in rural areas. Completion of 655 healthcare facilities this year will allow us to provide primary health care coverage to 1 million rural residents,” Bektenov said.
The initiative is part of the government’s broader effort to improve healthcare accessibility and strengthen the primary care network across the country.
