National Iranian South Oilfields Company (NISOC) has restored the oil production in the daily amount of 1,400 barrels in Ahvaz-269 oil well located in the country's Khuzestan province, the NISOC Technical Director Sadegh Fatollahi said, Trend reports referring to the company's website.
Some 100 billion rials (roughly $2.38 million) of the funds allocated for the repairs were saved, Fatollahi said.
Moreover the repair time was decreased from six months to 10 days, Fatollahi added.
The necessary equipment was supplied by the technological self-sufficiency center of Iran's Sharif University of Technology, the technical director added.
