BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 7. As of May 1, 2024, the Bulla Deniz field in Azerbaijan has produced 12.4 million tons of oil (including condensate) and over 69.9 billion cubic meters of gas, a source in the country’s oil and gas industry told Trend.
The Bulla Deniz field, discovered in 1975, marked a significant milestone in Azerbaijan's oil industry by conducting drilling operations under controlled reservoir pressure for the first time.
In 2017, well No. 123 was drilled at the Bulla Deniz field to a depth of 6,132 meters. The well's efficient operation resulted in daily production of 120 tons of condensate and 500,000 cubic meters of natural gas.
The well is projected to remain operational until 2041, with an expected total production of over 700,000 tons of condensate and more than 3 billion cubic meters of gas. Given the well's high potential, efforts are underway to further boost production.
