BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 21. The average monthly nominal salary of hired workers in Azerbaijan in the period from January through November 2024 increased by eight percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to 996.8 manat ($586.1), Trend reports.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, wages in the oil and gas sector totaled 3,716 manat ($2,185), and in the non-oil and gas sector, 946.9 manat ($556.8). Salaries of employees of state enterprises equaled 960.7 manat ($564.9), and private enterprises - 1,034 manat ($608.07).
The department's data shows that the highest wages were recorded in the mining sector; insurance and finance; information and communications; as well as in scientific and technical activities.

To note, the average monthly nominal wage of salaried employees in Azerbaijan in 2023 increased by 11.2 percent compared to the same period of 2022 and totaled 933.8 manat ($549.1).
