The volume of cargo transportation by air in Azerbaijan amounted to 139,800 tons from January through April 2021, which is 33 percent more compared to the same period of 2020, Trend reports citing a report of the country’s State Customs Committee (SCC).
As reported, 176,000 passengers were transported by air during the reporting period, which is 59.9 percent less compared to the same period of 2020.
According to the SCC data, 99.1 percent of transportation was carried out by state enterprises, and 0.9 percent - by private enterprises.
In the first 4months of this year, the volume of cargo transportation by all types of vehicles in Azerbaijan amounted to 62.4 million tons, of which 0.2 percent accounted for air transport. Moreover, 355.8 million passengers were transported during this period.
