BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 11. Azerbaijan Railways CJSC is expanding a crucial partnership with Central Asian countries that will help increase cargo deliveries, modernize infrastructure, and fully digitalize the region's railroads in Eurasia, the head of Azerbaijan Railways Rovshan Rustamov wrote on X, Trend reports.
He recalled his recent participation in the fifth Eurasian Forum on Transport Safety and Digitalization held in Almaty.
“The forum highlighted the rapid development of Azerbaijani Railways in recent years, which emphasized the CJSC's commitment to comply with new global standards of transport systems, such as improving safety and digital transformation. Over a short period, Azerbaijani Railways has automated key internal control procedures, which has significantly improved safety in all operations. This successful transition from manual processes to digital systems has not only minimized human error but also accelerated the identification and resolution of safety issues, instilling confidence in Railway's capabilities,” the information notes.
Rustamov noted that in addition to the increased volume of cargo transportation, infrastructure modernization, and digitalization efforts to quickly meet needs, real-time monitoring (automated notifications and digital tracking for faster response to security risks, accountability, and operational transparency) has been successfully implemented.
