BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, December 26. The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF) is set to finance both new and existing projects totaling more than $140 million in Kyrgyzstan next year, Trend reports.

The budget was adopted at the RKDF council's regular meeting on December 20. According to the RKDF, it would focus on vital economic sectors such as industrial development, infrastructure improvement in education and healthcare, logistics, agriculture, processing, enhancing food security, and achieving energy independence.

The RKDF's activity in regional areas will continue and expand, as the RKDF's council has approved rules for supporting projects under $1 million.

"RKDF has sufficient resources, and we will continue to accept new applications. We hope that the number and quality of interesting, important, and necessary projects for the country will increase. By funding them, the fund will continue contributing to the country's economic development," Artem Novikov, Chairman of the RKDF Board, emphasized during the meeting of the council.

Daniyar Amangeldiev, Member of the RKDF Council and Minister of Economy and Commerce, noted that the available financial resources contribute to the implementation of projects across various sectors of the economy, including industry, agriculture, processing, machinery, tourism, and mining.

"As the economy grows, the need for financial resources increases, and the fund's budget vividly demonstrates this. And this is not the limit," he remarked.
