BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, January 17. A total of 33,374 tons of milk and dairy products were exported from Kyrgyzstan to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in 2024, Trend reports.

According to the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan, the figure is 3,164 tons more compared to the same period last year, when the export volume was 30,210 tons.

Specifically, the export included, among other products, the following:

- cheese — 1,451 tons

- shoro — 120 tons

- kurut — 3.3 tons

- butter — 1,881 tons

- ice cream — 4,480 tons

- cream — 660 tons

- powdered milk — 1,212 tons

- pasteurized milk — 124 tons.

Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover reached $14.6 billion in the January-November 2024 period, which is a 3.7 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023. Exports rose by 21.3 percent, while imports decreased by 0.8 percent. In terms of trade structure, exports accounted for 23.6 percent and imports for 76.4 percent of the total turnover.
