Turkmenistan's food processing enterprise surpasses targets in 1H2024

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 30. The 'Lebap Miwe' agricultural association located in the Lebap region in the east of Turkmenistan exceeded the plan for the manufacturing of food products from January through June this year, Trend reports.

According to the official source, during the specified period, the association manufactured and supplied consumers with various types of fruit and vegetable packaging and fruit syrups worth over 6.2 million Turkmen manat ($1.8 million), exceeding the plan.

Furthermore, in the first half of this year, the association packed over 1.4 million conventional products of various types of packaging of greens and fruits, such as plums, apples, quinces, apricots, blackberries, cherries, pomegranates, tomatoes, and cucumbers.

During the specified period, the agricultural association sold finished products worth more than 1.3 million Turkmen manat, which is equivalent to $387 million.

Meanwhile, food production in Turkmenistan is developing rapidly, which is a key element in diversifying the country's economy.

The government of the country has been actively investing in the modernization and expansion of production facilities in recent years, introducing modern technologies and quality standards.
