TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, January 2. Uzbekistan is abolishing some VAT exemptions on medicines and medical services, Trend reports.
According to changes in tax and budget policy for 2024, VAT exemptions on the turnover and import of pharmaceutical products will no longer apply from April 1, 2024.
VAT will be applied to sales turnover of:
- medical services;
- veterinary services;
- medicinal products;
- veterinary medicines, medical and veterinary products.
In addition, value added tax will apply to imports of medicines, veterinary medicines, medical and veterinary products and raw materials.
