TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 27. In the vibrant tapestry of trade, Uzbekistan wove a golden thread of 64,800 tons of apricots, shimmering with a value of $62.2 million, from the dawn of January through the twilight of October 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's statistics agency shows that the value of apricot exports increased by 2.8 percent compared to the same period in 2023 (63,000 tons).
To note, Uzbekistan exported 1.6 million tons of fruit and vegetables worth $1.2 billion abroad from January through October 2024, marking an increase of 14.2 percent from 10 months last year (1.4 million tons).
Russia became the largest importer of agricultural products from Uzbekistan with a total volume of 712,400 tons worth $539.6 million.
Exports of fruit and vegetable products accounted for 5.5 percent of Uzbekistan's total exports.
