TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, December 5. Uzbekistan plans to increase the exports of auto kits to more than $700 million in 2025, Trend reports.
The news follows a meeting headed by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on priorities in the automotive industry for 2025.
In recent years, more than 40,000 auto kits have been exported to neighboring countries. At the same time, Uzbekistan intends to launch bus and truck production enterprises in Samarkand.
The country aims to increase production and improve the quality in the automotive industry. Currently, more than 400,000 vehicles are sold annually.
In particular, by localizing 60 parts for BYD cars in 2025, it is possible to reduce the cost of electric cars. The management of this company highly appreciated the potential of domestic enterprises. In this regard, the task has been set to use the capabilities of the Localization Assistance Center and double the production volume in cooperation with regional enterprises.
The head of state noted the economic and social importance of the industry. In this regard, he emphasized the importance of adapting to modern requirements, ensuring stable production, as well as constant work on marketing and product quality.
