TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, December 23. Uzekistan exported 1.89 million tons of fruits and vegetables worth $1.41 billion from January through November 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Statistics Agency shows that this figure increased by 15.9 percent compared to the same period last year (1.63 million tons from January through November 2023).
Russia became the largest importer of agricultural products from Uzbekistan, with a total volume of 776,500 tons worth $595.2 million. Kazakhstan ranked second with 496,600 tons of exports worth $179.5 million, followed by Pakistan with 117,300 tons of produce worth $177.7 million from January through November 2024.
Exports of horticultural products accounted for 5.8 percent of Uzbekistan's total exports.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan exported 1.6 million tons of fruits and vegetables worth $1.2 billion from January through October 2024. This figure increased by 14.2 percent compared to the same period last year (1.4 million tons in January-October 2023).
Exports of fruit and vegetable products accounted for 5.5 percent of the country's total exports.
