TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, March 18. Uzbekistan's Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Wildberries signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at fostering e-commerce and supporting entrepreneurs, Trend reports.
The document was signed at the meeting between the Chairman of the Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Davron Vakhabov and the Director of Wildberries in Uzbekistan Akmal Primkulov.
Under the memorandum, the parties will work together to support the export potential of Uzbek entrepreneurs through the Wildberries platform. They also plan to organize seminars and training sessions for businesses, helping them navigate the e-commerce landscape. Additionally, with the support of the Chamber, educational centers will be established based on PRO Wildberries to enhance entrepreneurial skills. The cooperation will also focus on identifying and addressing challenges hindering the development of online commerce, as well as promoting Uzbek entrepreneurs’ products in international markets.
The stakeholders underscored that the executed memorandum will
catalyze novel avenues for the penetration of Uzbek commodities
into international markets and further fortify the trade and
economic synergies between the nations.
Furthermore, the stakeholders engaged in dialogue regarding the
enhancement of avenues for regional entrepreneurs within the
Wildberries ecosystem, amplifying the export metrics of Uzbek
commodities, and advancing the e-commerce landscape.
Wildberries&Russ was formed through the merger of two market leaders (the IT company Wildberries and outdoor advertising operator Russ) to jointly create an advanced digital trading platform and provide tools for small and medium-sized business development. The merged company currently operates in Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, as well as China, from which goods are imported.
