BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 6. Iran's product imports from Azerbaijan in the first ten months of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through January 19, 2025) decreased by 31.6 percent in value and 33.1 percent in weight, compared to the same period last year (from March 21, 2023, through January 20, 2024).
The data obtained by Trend from the Iranian Customs Administration indicates that Iran imported goods worth around $27.1 million, totaling 10,900 tons, from Azerbaijan during the reporting period.
Meanwhile, Iran's imports from Azerbaijan amounted to $39.6 million, with a weight of 16,300 tons in the same period last year (from March 21, 2023, through January 20, 2024).
The report indicates that Iran's imports from Azerbaijan included various equipment, compressed soybeans, different types of profiles, and other products.
Furthermore, it was noted that trade turnover between Iran and Azerbaijan during these ten months reached $600 million, totaling 738,000 tons.
Additionally, the Iranian Customs Administration's data shows that Iran's imports of products amounted to some 30.8 million tons worth $56 billion during ten months of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through January 19, 2025)
Iran's product imports increased by three percent in value and decreased by three percent in weight over ten months compared to the same period last year (from March 21, 2023, through January 20, 2024).
