In order to repay loans attracted to finance Azerbaijan's satellite projects Azerspace-1, Azerspace-2 and Azersky, owned by Azercosmos OJSC, $188.4 million and 58.1 million euro were provided to pay off the principal debt in 2020, Trend reports citing the report of the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers for 2020.
As reported, $32.3 million and 3.5 million euros were paid at interest rates on the amount of loans.
In 2020, Azerbaijan's revenues from telecommunication services of the Azerspace-1 and Azerspace-2 satellites amounted to $17.6 and $22.4 million.
Revenues for the entire operation of the Azerspace-1 satellite amounted to $124 million, the report reads.
