BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 14. OPEC expects liquids production in OECD countries to increase steadily over the next two years, with growth largely concentrated in the Americas, Trend reports.
According to the bloc's latest outlook, the OECD liquids supply—excluding Mexico, a participant in the Declaration of Cooperation (DoC) - is projected to rise by 600,000 b/d in 2025, averaging 32.3 mb/d for the year. The increase will be driven almost entirely by OECD Americas, where output is forecast to grow by 500,000 b/d to reach an average of 28.3 mb/d.
Production in OECD Europe is also expected to see a modest gain of 100,000 b/d, reaching an average of 3.6 mb/d in 2025. Meanwhile, OECD Asia Pacific is forecast to experience a slight decline of 10,000 b/d, bringing its average output to 400,000 b/d.
In 2026, total OECD liquids production is anticipated to expand by another 400,000 b/d to an average of 32.7 mb/d. Once again, growth will be concentrated in the Americas, with the region expected to add 500,000 b/d, pushing its output to 28.8 mb/d.
However, this increase will be partially offset by declines elsewhere. OPEC forecasts that OECD Europe will see a reduction of about 44,000 b/d in 2026, bringing annual production down to 3.5 mb/d. Asia Pacific output is expected to decline by a further 14,000 b/d, averaging 400,000 b/d for the year.
