BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 5. The technical operations at the refineries of Iran's Karoon Oil and Gas Production Company (KOGPC) have increased crude oil processing by 3,000 barrels per day, the Executive Director of Karoon Oil and Gas Production Company, Hassan Shahrouei, told local media, Trend reports.
According to him, daily refining at Karoon Oil and Gas Production Company's refineries has increased to 55,000 barrels.
Shahrouei added that pipelines have been laid and pumping stations have been modified to accommodate the increased throughput. All this was carried out by local personnel.
Karoon Oil and Gas Production Company, which operates under the supervision of the National Company for Southern Oil Zones of Iran, has the potential to produce more than 1 million barrels of oil per day. The main oil fields in which this company produces crude oil are Ahvaz, Mansouri, Ab Teymour, and Ramin fields. The gas production potential of this company is 600 million cubic feet per day (approximately 17 million cubic meters).
Approximately 27 percent of Iran's crude oil production is owned by Karoon Oil and Gas Production Company.
