In January 2014, Azerbaijan imported 6,477 vehicles compared to 7,129 in January, 2013, according to a message of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee (SCC).
Some 5,925 vehicles out of total volume of imported ones accounted for cars and motor vehicles, designed for passenger transportation, according to the message.
In January 2013, this figure stood at 6,497 vehicles.
In total Azerbaijan imported 104,385 vehicles in 2013 compared to 101,255 in 2012. Some 94,879 vehicles out of total volume of imported ones accounted for cars and motor vehicles for passenger transportation, versus 89,652 vehicles in 2012.
Also in January 2014, the country imported 512 trucks versus 452 in the same period of last year.
The remaining vehicles imported last year accounted for other types of vehicles.
In 2013, the country imported 7,823 trucks compared to 9,433 in 2012.
