During the talks between BTC Co and Botas of Turkey, which installs Turkish section of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline (BTC), they agreed to effect additional payments. SOCAR officials told Trend that BTC Co will pay Botas $333mln less $192mln issued by BTC shareholders to the company.
Botas earlier needed additional funds to complete construction operations within its section.
By preliminary estimations, cost of BTC pipeline already rose by 30% from initial $2.95bn as of the project approval date. $600mln took filling the pipeline with technical oil (in amount of 10mln bbl), plus credits repayments.
