BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 16. In Turkmenistan, specialists of the construction and installation trust "Turkmengundogarnebitgurlushyk" of the Turkmengaz state concern have completed the construction of a gas pipeline along the route "Uchaji - Zerger", Trend reports with reference to Jeyhun News.
The 125-kilometer-long high-pressure gas pipeline is designed to provide fuel to a 432 MW gas turbine power plant in the Charjew district of the Lebap region of Turkmenistan.
The general contractor of this project was the specialized construction and installation department No. 5 of the above-mentioned trust.
This power plant was put into operation on September 3 last year. It operates using natural gas and, along with providing electric energy to the country's consumers, is important in increasing the volume of its exports to other countries.
Large investments are being made in the formation of modern industrial infrastructure in Turkmenistan, which contributes both to the comprehensive development of the regions and to the economic prosperity of the country as a whole.
